Clematis 'Mongolian Gold' belongs to the Tangutica group. Its yellow flowers measure 4 cm across and appear in August.
It grows to about 50 cm and is suited to containers, bed edges or a small climbing aid. It likes a sunny to partly shaded position, with the root zone kept shaded.
Pruning group 3 (hard pruning): cut back to about 10 cm in April. Hardy to about -23 °C (hardiness zone 6).
