There is probably no friend of Old Roses who does not know and love Comte de Chambord.
This uncomplicated, reliably repeat-flowering variety wins over above all with its very densely double, vibrant pink blooms and glorious fragrance. As an upright-growing, not overly spreading shrub rose with healthy, dark green foliage, Comte de Chambord suits many situations in the garden, and with suitable pruning also a larger tub. Beginners, too, will enjoy it.
In 2022, Comte de Chambord was inducted into the WFRS Old Rose Hall of Fame, becoming a world rose.

A great rose. Slightly arching, very good fragrance and hardy.Automatically translated · Show original
Too much effortIt is praised a lot on many portals, apparently the flagship of the historic roses, and since it is also a parent of the DA rose Gertrude Jeckyll I bought it. In the bed impossible: despite partial shade the blooms wilt quickly and at the first drop of rain turn to mummies..the rose only works with sun and rain umbrella. Now in a container under a porch roof, the last attempt for summer 24, otherwise I'll throw it out…then rather Gertrude Jeckyll, which has good rain resistance..Automatically translated · Show original
I have 12 other old roses but Conte de Chambord is the most beautiful and best!No diseases, blooms until the frost, I cut it back a little in autumn and a bit in spring, otherwise it may grow as it likes, and the fragrance is stunning, I only get compliments on this rose. It gets sun only from midday until sunset, if there is any sun at all. Have had it in the garden for 7-8 years. Gets a handful of rose fertiliser once in spring. A completely uncomplicated rose, I would buy it again more often, but by now space in the garden is limited, unfortunately.Automatically translated · Show original
