The rose arch is without doubt the finishing touch in the garden. With an accent in height, underlined by the abundance of blooms and the fragrance of the climbing plants growing on it, it creates a striking effect from a distance. It also offers the unforgettable experience of walking through beneath blooming climbing roses.

Elegant and shapely, the rose arch divides spaces without blocking the view. It offers a stable support for two or more impressive climbing plants that meet in the middle of the arch. To bear this load even in bad weather or in winter with snow, the rose arch should be made of metal. Inexpensive rose arches made of wood or even plastic often cannot withstand the load permanently. Above all, the weight of a richly flowering rambler during a summer thunderstorm is reliably carried only by a metal rose arch.

Particular attention should also be paid to anchoring the rose arch in the ground - this must be stable enough to bear the maximum expected load. For large, massive rose arches, small concrete foundations are often the only way to set them up securely. Smaller, somewhat more delicate arches can also be fixed securely with ground anchors.

Another important criterion when choosing the right design is the passage width. If in doubt, choose a slightly wider one, because the rose also grows a little inwards and can thus come dangerously close to your clothing when you walk through. The rose arches are available with a passage width of 152 - 200 cm - it really should not be narrower than that.

Suitable plants for the rose arch are, besides climbing roses, also clematis or a combination of both, which considerably extends the time in which the arch is a blooming eye-catcher with a strong effect from a distance in the garden.

Whether it should be a curved or a straight arch is usually dictated by the rest of the garden design. The arches come in timeless black, but for a moderate surcharge you can also specify a colour of your choice from the RAL scale in which your individual rose arch will then be made.

You should be two people to assemble the arch. Better leave setting up the heavy arches and anchoring them securely in the soil to a professional - for example the garden and landscape gardener you trust.
