2008 als Containerrose gekauft und in den Kübel gepflanzt. Sie blüht reich und das Laub ist dunkel. Der Duft sehr stark. Die Farbe ist unbeschreiblich. Erst dunkelrot samtig, dazwischen etwas heller. Im Verblühen wird sie fast lila. Einfach toll. Etwas zickig und Mehltau anfällig, aber der Duft und die Farbe sind es wert. Das Foto wird dem Farbspiel nicht gerecht.

Dieser Prinz steht erst seit vier Jahren bei mir und ist nicht sehr wüchsig. Sie muss jährlich immer stark zurückgeschnitten werden. Sie gehört bei mir zu den pfegebedürftigsten Rosen, wie fast alle meiner Remontanthybriden. Ihre Blüte ist aber sehr schön, wie roter Samt, die voll geöffnet goldene Staubgefäße hervorblicken lassen. Vielleicht braucht sie einige Jahre, wie meine Madame Isaac Pereire, um ihren großen Vorwärtssprung im Wachstum zu machen. Ich werde mich gedulden und abwarten, wie sie sich weiter entwickelt.
