Clematis chrysocoma 'Continuity' was selected around 1958 by British breeder A. Voneshan for Jackman's nursery and belongs to the Clematis montana group. Its fragrant, pink flowers reach 6 to 8 cm across, carry 4 to 6 slightly wavy petals and show creamy-white to yellowish anthers on pale filaments.
Growing to around 500 cm, 'Continuity' develops into a very vigorous, fast-growing climber that flowers from June to October, living up to its name with this long flowering season. It is ideal for trellises, obelisks and arbours in sunny to semi-shaded spots – best with the root area kept shaded.
'Continuity' is hardy to zone 8 (-12.2 to -6.7 °C). For vigorous growth and especially rich flowering, cut back to about 100 cm in March; once established, the variety rewards this care with lush new growth and abundant blooms.

This very vigorous clematis is gorgeous - flowers for a looong time and smells wonderful! I planted it with Paul Transon on an obelisk. I hope it gets through its first, quite cold winter well!Automatically translated · Show original
