Clematis 'Anna's Choice' was bred by Polish clematis specialist Szczepan Marczyński and launched in 2025. Its large, 16 to 18 cm flowers are violet-pink and appear both double and semi-double at once – a trait that sets this variety apart from simple single-flowered hybrids.
'Anna's Choice' flowers from May to June and reaches a height of 180 to 200 cm. This makes it well suited to trellises, climbing frames and obelisks, as well as container growing on a balcony or terrace. As with most clematis hybrids, keep the root zone shaded while letting the shoots grow into the sun.
'Anna's Choice' is very winter-hardy (zone 4, down to about -34 °C) and reliably survives harsh winters. Cut the plant back to about 100 cm in March to encourage vigorous new growth and abundant flowering. As a 2025 introduction, 'Anna's Choice' is still rarely found in the trade.
