The clematis 'Myosotis' was raised in 2005 by the Dutch breeding company J van Zoest Beheer BV and introduced in 2017. Its 8–12 cm flowers are violet-blue and open slightly cupped before flattening out. The petal margins are strongly ruffled as the flowers open and turn slightly wavy with age; dark stamens set an accent in the centre. The first flush carries eight petals, the second six.
'Myosotis' flowers in May and June and a second time from August to October. At around 200 cm tall it grows compact and upright and is especially well suited to pot culture. It appreciates a spot in sun to partial shade in well-drained, evenly moist soil.
'Myosotis' is well hardy (zone 6, down to about -23 °C). Cut the plant back to about 100 cm in June. Plant the clematis so that the crown sits 5 to 8 cm below the soil surface; this encourages new shoots to form from below ground. The root zone prefers to stay shaded.
