Great rose, even for a north wallWe were sceptical, but absolutely wanted a climbing rose for our north wall at the shed and tried the Leverkusen.
2023
Ordered for planting in autumn; arrived superbly packed, sturdy and in good condition, about 30cm tall.
2024
Grew in very well, doubled in height and even had 3 blooms, which smell wonderful and look exactly like pictured.
2025
The rose defies the rough weather here on the coast and is developing. Is now a good 1.5m tall. Already over 10 blooms this year.
You can't expect miracles from a rose that really gets almost no direct sun - the shoots are not quite as strong as on the other roses, but also not unpleasantly leggy due to the lack of sun. Even so, it does really well on the north wall and is not noticeably more diseased or infested with aphids than our other roses.
Clear recommendation for anyone who needs a rose for the shade, for whatever reason!!
Many thanks to the breeders!Automatically translated · Show original
