Clematis 'Pink Beauty' was bred by Polish clematis specialist Szczepan Marczyński and has been available since 2019. Its 12 to 17 cm flowers glow in vivid pink with a darker central bar on the 6 to 8 broad tepals, complemented by yellow stamens on cream-coloured filaments.
At 150 to 200 cm, 'Pink Beauty' stays pleasantly compact and flowers from June to August. It suits low trellises and supports as well as a container on a patio or balcony, and thrives on south-, east- and west-facing spots in a bright, not overly hot position.
'Pink Beauty' is reliably winter-hardy (zone 4, down to about -34 to -29°C). Cut the plant back to about 100 cm in March to encourage vigorous new growth and reliable flowering. In its first few years after planting, this novelty still grows rather modestly – a gentler cut just above strong buds is enough, until it reaches its full vigour from around the third year.
