Clematis 'My Beauty'

Clematis 'My Beauty' is a plant-variety-protected novelty available since 2021, raised by Polish breeder Szczepan Marczyński. Its large, roughly 15 cm flowers appear semi-double to single with 7 to 8 sepals and up to 30 wavy-edged stamens, coloured pink with darker stripes; the purple anthers sit on white-purple-pink filaments.

At 150 to 200 cm, 'My Beauty' is well suited to trellises, trelliswork and obelisks, but thanks to its compact growth it also thrives in containers on balconies and patios. It flowers from May to July, occasionally with a weaker late-summer repeat, and does best in bright, sunny spots without excessive heat — south-, east- and west-facing positions all suit it equally well.

'My Beauty' is reliably winter-hardy (zone 4, down to about -34 °C) and belongs to the light-pruning varieties: cut the stems back to about 100 cm in June to encourage vigorous growth and abundant flowering. As a plant-variety-protected cultivar (PBR, licence number EU 58389), 'My Beauty' may only be propagated with the breeder's permission.
