Densely double, silky pink, almost white blooms, unusually pale for a Gallica, with a very good myrrh fragrance. The blooms sit on strong stems and do not droop. Very robust and hardy, flowers for a long time.
Belle Isis forms a large shrub, growing tall and broad, that supports itself well for quite a long time. On large specimens, however, staking may become necessary. It is a parent variety of Constance Spry, and thus one of the varieties from which the English Roses of David Austin emerged.

In June the pink flowers of Belle Isis appear and later take on a lighter shade of pink. The fragrance is utterly delicious, sweet and full. The flowers, about 5 cm across, stand out above the truly decorative foliage. So the flowers are somewhat smaller than those of other Gallica roses, but particularly charming.Automatically translated · Show original
Small and fine.Perhaps she stands too hot on the south slope? She suffered in the dry summer, the foliage looks scorched, but the blooms were fine and delicious. She grows more delicately than expected, even in the second year, a small, fine rose with an inimitable fragrance.Automatically translated · Show original
