The shrub rose The Alnwick Rose bears clusters of cup-shaped, fully double blooms in a delicate pink, with a good fragrance reminiscent of berries. Above all, its hard-to-describe, unique colour lends the globular blooms an unmistakable character.
The vigorous-growing, bushy shrub from the Leander group has slightly glossy foliage. It has a long flowering period and flowers reliably, with brief interruptions, into late autumn. The rose variety was named after Alnwick Castle, where a new rose garden was created at the time the variety was introduced.
