Clematis 'I AM® A LITTLE BEAUTY' (cultivar name 'Zolibe') was bred in 1997 by the Dutch breeder Wim Snoeijer and belongs to the I AM® series. It belongs to the Viticella Group and bears small, 6 cm flowers in purple with a white centre to the tepals; the four to six broadly obovate, overlapping tepals show purple anthers on green filaments.
From June to August, 'I AM® A LITTLE BEAUTY' flowers abundantly and reliably. Reaching a height of around 300 cm, it is well suited to trellises, climbing frames and obelisks, as well as fences or larger supports in containers. As a compact Viticella variety, it also suits smaller gardens and sunny to semi-shaded spots.
'I AM® A LITTLE BEAUTY' is reliably hardy (zone 5, down to about -28.8 to -23.4 °C) and copes well even with colder winters. Prune it back to about 25 cm in March, as it belongs to pruning group 3 and produces its flowers on the current year's growth. As a free-flowering, robust variety, it is also well suited to less experienced gardeners.
