The clematis 'Blue Sky' was bred by Japanese breeder Kiyoshi Kashimoto and charms with delicate, pale blue flowers up to 10 cm across.
Growing to around 250 cm, 'Blue Sky' climbs vigorously on trellises, arbours and obelisks and flowers from May to June.
'Blue Sky' is reliably hardy (zone 6, down to about -23 to -18 °C). For strong growth and abundant flowering, prune the plant back to about 100 cm in June.
