While some of the roses all around suffer from rust, she is healthy and has strong shoots. Unfortunately she hasn't grown particularly tall yet in her second year, but that will surely come. But this year she is already forming flowers for the third time, even though she is in partial shade. The flowers only last very briefly, though.

The rose defies the hardest frosts. It also grows on sandy soil. It is not susceptible to diseases at all, and the cold wind of coastal regions doesn't bother it. The white of the flowers is flawless and the fragrance lingers through the night as well. In the beginning it grows very slowly, Rugosa roses do not like alkaline soils, which is why I add peat to the planting hole when planting these roses.
In any case it is a rose that, once correctly planted, needs no work, that you can simply let grow or with which you can improve a wild corner of the garden without much effort.
