Clematis 'Beautiful Bride' was registered in 2009 and produces large, pure white flowers 14-15 cm across – among the largest of the white-flowered cultivars in the range. It blooms continuously from May to September.
With a compact habit of 100-150 cm, 'Beautiful Bride' is especially well suited to smaller trellises, containers and narrow supports, where more vigorous cultivars would grow too large. It appreciates a sunny to semi-shaded position with a cool root run.
'Beautiful Bride' is winter-hardy (zone 5, down to about -28 °C). Cut the plant back hard to about 10 cm in March – this radical pruning encourages continuous flowering right through the summer.
