The flowers of Clematis 'Forever Friends' (Zofofri) are pure white with a delicate pink flush and contrasting deep red stamens, slightly nodding and, at 6-8 cm, of medium size.
From June to September, 'Forever Friends' continuously produces new flowers on the current year's growth. Reaching around 300 cm in height, it is well suited to trellises, trelliswork and pergolas on sunny walls and fences, where the white and pink flowers show to best effect. A full sun to sunny position with well-drained, evenly moist soil favours vigorous growth.
The variety is reliably hardy (zone 6, down to about -23 °C) and copes well with Central European winters outdoors. As it flowers exclusively on new growth, 'Forever Friends' is cut back hard to about 25 cm in March; this encourages bushy regrowth and abundant flowering throughout the season.
