Large, heavily double pink blooms in clusters with an outstanding fragrance.
Named after the Perse School in Cambridge, this variety originates from England and not Persia — unlike, for example, the Damask rose Rose de Resht. Nor does it have anything in common with the Persica hybrids.
It grows vigorously, not too densely bushy, with glossy green foliage, and is also suitable as a smaller pillar rose.
