The rose variety The Mayflower bears clusters of dark pink, medium-sized blooms in the style of the 'Old Roses'. The blooms resemble those of a dahlia and have a pronounced fragrance.
The plant is exceptionally disease-resistant and forms a bushy, well-branched, medium-sized shrub with medium-green foliage. It fits well into a mixed border, a larger container or a rose hedge, also combined with its white sport 'Susan Williams-Ellis'.
As a particularly rewarding garden rose, The Mayflower was awarded the AGM of the RHS in 2012. We cannot quite share our customers' restrained enthusiasm, but suspect that it relates to plants not yet fully established in their first or second year.

Seit nunmehr zwei Jahren wächst "The Mayflower" in meinem Garten.
