Prone to diseaseSince there was no supplier in Germany, I had the roses sent from the UK myself 4 years ago and planted them in a sunny spot. The joy over the lovely play of colours in the flower unfortunately lasted only one year. Already in the 2nd year many flowers of the 2nd and 3rd flush were small and stunted, as if attacked by thrips - but they weren't. In addition the plants proved to be weak-growing, although there had been no roses at their location before (so no rose replant disease!), and the foliage was prone to powdery mildew and black spot even in the hot summers of 2019 and 2021 despite preventive spraying. This year I will take the roses out and, after replacing the soil, replace them with roses from north German breeding.Automatically translated · Show original
