A great rose. I have it on a rose arch. The color is super. In my garden, however, it needs winter protection.Automatically translated · Show original
In spring I planted Gloire de Dijon as a cascade standard. It blooms almost tirelessly with its dreamy flowers, but needs a spot where it is not exposed to the greatest midday heat. One should spray preventively against black spot, as old roses are sometimes prone to it.
The delicate play of colors of the densely double flowers enchants every rose lover.Automatically translated · Show original
When I like a variety especially, I often plant a second one in the garden. That's how it is with Gloire de Dijon too. For me she is the epitome of an Old Rose, one that no modern climbing rose can match. She suffered from the heat in this hot summer, but which rose didn't ? Although I have often heard that she is prone to problems etc., I can only say that in my garden she has bloomed without interruption and still has flowers now (she stands between the houses, somewhat sheltered), and other varieties have given me more grief than this one. Afterwards I'll plant a second one at the pavilion, which she is meant to climb, and I'll give her winter protection.Automatically translated · Show original
I planted a Gloire de Dijon in my garden this winter. The plant looks very nice and is very "robust". We expect to get the first flower by the end of the week.

The most absolutely beautiful consumptiveWith no other rose did it take me so long to give up. At first it blooms itself to death, really amazing, from March to November, and then at some point it dies off, again and again, and a cane of hope never sprouts again from below. I would pay any sum for a clone that works. Couldn't it be crossed with Paul's Himalayan Musk using CRISPR scissors?Automatically translated · Show original
