Clematis 'Red Cooler' belongs to the large-flowered hybrids. Its violet flowers measure 10 to 12 cm across and appear from June to August.
It grows to about 2 m and is suited to an obelisk, trellis panel or fence. It likes a sunny to partly shaded position, with the root zone kept shaded.
Prune to about 50 cm in March. Hardy to about -23 °C (hardiness zone 6).
