Currants
Currants are very popular berry bushes. They are versatile: ideal for baking and snacking, for fruit bowls with other berries, for juicing and for making homemade currant wine or liqueur.
Currants thrive in full sun or partial shade; if possible, the site should be sheltered from the wind.
In case of potassium deficiency (brown leaf edges), fertilise in autumn with potassium sulphate (not potash salt!).
