Robust, rich in blooms and healthyI planted five Vanessa Bell roses in the bed on the south side of the house. The three older ones have now had three flowering summers and delight me with early blooms and abundant flowers that follow several times.
The leaves of the rose are very healthy without any chemical treatment; with regular pruning it forms a lovely, compact shrub, and the fully double blooms have coped well with the weather swings of recent years, opening even during rainy spells and not burning in the heat.
It keeps its myrrh fragrance even in the heat, but the fruity notes that make its scent so enchanting are only noticeable in summer warmth.
I am very enthusiastic about this rose and would plant it again at any time.
