American Pillar doesn't grow, it runs wild to unimagined proportions, beautifully, into an old apple tree (so in partial shade) and is just now crossing our tool shed. When this rose flowers, it does so in great abundance.
Im ersten Jahr zeigte American Pilar kaum Blüten und wuchs auch sehr wenig. In diesem Jahr verwöhnt sie uns mit reichlicher Blütenfülle, nur wächst sie nicht so schnell, wie erhofft, da sie eine Pergola beranken soll. Die Bodenbeschaffenheit ist vielleicht schuld daran. Wir müssen halt etwas Geduld haben.

A. Pillar wächst bei uns seit 2 Jahren an einer kalten und zugigen Nord-Ost-Ecke. Sie wächst zwar langsam, hat aber bisher jeden Frost problemlos überstanden. Zudem ist sie sehr widerstandsfähig gegen Schädlinge und Krankheiten. Kurz gesagt: eine sehr robuste und pflegeleichte Rose.
