This rose reveals its origins through its dark green, typically rugosa foliage and its thorny armament. A very vigorous-growing, robust and hardy plant with a broad habit.

Light amber-yellow, double blooms about 7cm in diameter, and fragrant. In cooler weather the blooms may also shift towards apricot. Repeat-flowering. A good choice for a yellow rugosa.

Agnes owes its yellow flower colour to Persian Yellow, from which it is directly descended. This ancestry, together with its excellent hardiness, also makes it very interesting for rose breeders hybridising new yellow roses.
