The rose variety Doris Day, named after a famous American actress, surely inherited its beautiful golden yellow from its parent variety Jullia Child (Absolutely Fabulous). However, it grows considerably taller, developing into an imposing shrub rose with good landscape impact.
The nostalgically double, ruffled blooms appear in clusters and exude an intense, spicy fragrance with fruity-sweet aromas. One of the yellow rose varieties that holds its colour very well even as it fades, without paling to white.

Wonderfully fragrant insect magnetThe fragrant rose Doris Day is a true insect magnet.
It was planted bare-root in May and today, on 26 June, it has already opened its first blooms. Only a few minutes later the first hoverfly was sitting on it!
The quality of the plant is very good, I could almost watch it grow and although it is only about 30 cm tall it has already formed buds.
The fragrance is already very good in the morning in the shade too.Automatically translated · Show original
