Hedera helix 'Profesor Seneta'

Hedera helix ‘Profesor Seneta’ is a vigorous Polish ivy variety with large, evergreen, leathery leaves (8–12 cm). They are mostly five-lobed, marbled green and show decorative cream-coloured blotches – an attractive eye-catcher all year round.

Habit: strong climber with aerial roots, reaching up to 20 m in height. Annual growth approx. 1 m.

Site & care: prefers partially shaded to shaded sites, but also thrives in the sun. The leaf markings show to best effect in bright places. Needs fresh to moist, nutrient-rich soils, not too dry and not acidic. Hardy to zone 5b.

Use: ideal for greening walls, facades, arbours and trees. Also very well suited as a robust ground cover.
