Rosa glauca grows in my mixed hedge next to a hazelnut bush, which by now takes quite a lot of light from it. It also has to contend with root competition. That doesn't seem to bother it much, though. It is a real jewel in the hedge with its very dark, purple-gray foliage, against which the small star-shaped bright lilac-pink flowers with the straw-yellow stamens stand out nicely. It is an original rose that is never overlooked. Like all botanical roses it is extremely healthy.
