This beautiful shrub rose from the breeder Tantau bears intensely orange blooms that become somewhat lighter over time. These are nostalgic, fully double and beautifully quartered, and exude a strong fragrance of peach and mango.
The rose variety Chippendale flowers very abundantly and persistently, bearing healthy, glossy green foliage as a lovely contrast to the vivid bloom colour. As a smaller shrub, it is used as a specimen plant, alone or in groups in a bed, or in a container.

Favourite rose for almost 10 yearsMy Chippendale was planted bare-root around 10 years ago.
It immediately became my favourite rose and still is, even with almost 400 roses in the garden.
It is rainproof, heat tolerant, repeat-flowering and in my garden has a height of almost 2 m, which it quickly regains even after hard pruning.
It is healthy and grows upright without any support. Its fragrance is dreamlike without being overpowering.
I particularly like its flower colour, from strong orange through pink to cream, depending on the weather. It has a normal amount of thorns.
I can also only recommend its sport in yellow tones, Chippendale Gold.Automatically translated · Show original
