Lovely bloom, habit a bit scruffy
The rose was bought bare-root and is currently still in a container with me. Established very well. Hard pruning in spring. Pleasant, subtle fragrance. Blooms are reminiscent of peonies. Starts flowering in May and lasts a long time. Unfortunately the canes are relatively thin and arching over. Other D. Austin varieties in my garden have sturdier canes. I still have no idea which plants this rose would combine best with. It definitely needs a supporting partner so that you can admire the blooms from more than just a crouch.
