My Aimee Vibert has stood in a tiny bed against the west wall for 5 years. Although it has very little root space and stands in dry, sandy soil, it quickly grew to about 3 m. From this height it now lets its shoots hang down, and it fills half the driveway.
It is very healthy and, thanks to the sheltered position against the wall, also quite frost-hardy. It even survived the last two bitterly cold winters without any problem. It flowers late, only from mid to late July, but then almost until the frost in large clusters of lavishly double flowers. The flowers do not clean themselves, though, and become unsightly as they fade, so you have to cut them off. But that doesn't matter, because it doesn't set any rose hips anyway. In conclusion: a healthy, undemanding rose that grows and flowers lavishly, I would plant it again any time!Automatically translated · Show original
Pure graceThe individual qualities don't seem all that spectacular, there are bigger flowers and stronger fragrance. The sum of the parts: unsurpassed. Dense light-green foliage, graceful growth habit, pliable thornless canes, the prettiest flowers always in umbels and in old-rose puffs without the artificiality of new breeds., completely disease-free, shade-tolerant, heat- and frost-hardy, perfect. We love it.Automatically translated · Show original
