The orange-juice-orange flower clusters of the bedding rose Vavoom, from the American breeder Tom Carruth, are really impossible to overlook — even though at only 60 - 70 cm it actually grows quite low. The beautiful contrast of the blooms against the foliage, reddish-copper-coloured when sprouting and later glossy green, will also delight fans of roses with intense, bold colours.
The small, compact bush branches well and loves hot, sunny sites. Vavoom is suitable for groups or mass plantings in the rose bed, container cultivation, or low hedges and bed edging, and requires little care. Only leaf health may require attention at some sites. The long-lasting blooms remain very colour-stable until they go over.
