Kathleen Harrop is a beautiful, easy-care rose that keeps diligently sprouting and blooming even when overgrown by stinging nettles. At my place she stands in full sun in a spot that, for lack of time, is quite often neglected during garden work. That doesn't seem to bother her. She also came through the very cold winter of 2008-2009 quite well, unlike other roses that had to be cut back to the ground (but sprouted again). She has not a single thorn, and the gloriously fragrant flowers appear tirelessly until the frost. Well looked after, she should actually become a monster.
