Ich habe die Long John Silver nun etwa 3 1/2 Jahre. Im ersten Jahr pflanzte ich sie unter eine Birke, damit sie diese erklimmt. Als Rosenneuling wußte ich es damals nicht besser. Nach anderthalb Jahren im Schatten und Im Wurzelfilz des Baums war sie nicht eingegangen, aber auch kein bisschen gewachsen. Also hab ich sie ausgebuddelt und an den Rand der Terrasse gepflanzt. Seitdem wächst sie so dermassen als hätte sie nur darauf gewartet.
Die Triebe sind unter dem Terrassendach entlang geleitet und gut 5 m lang, an der Zahl sicher fast 20 und es kommen laufend welche nach. Sie blüht früh und reichlich mit wunderschönen Blüten. Noch dazu ist sie völlig gesund.
Ich bin von dieser Rose begeistert.
