Nomen est omenI love this rose! It has stood in a windswept spot in my herb bed for at least 15 years, so it is never sprayed and only fertilised once a year. The growth habit is more sparse than bushy. So far it has come through our winters of -15 to -20 degrees without winter protection. Medium-sized blooms with a glorious fragrance! Rosy, a slight vanilla note, soft, unobtrusive, varying in strength depending on the weather; single blooms on medium-length stems. Blooms diligently all summer long, if not exuberantly, but all the way into autumn! The bloom in the photo is from the end of October: this is exactly how you imagine a red rose! Almost black buds, dark red blooms with even darker shades and then this fragrance .... You gladly forgive it the somewhat less harmonious growth!Automatically translated · Show original
