Large, double, and almost perfectly shaped carmine red blooms in an old-fashioned style with a strong fragrance. Robust plant with dark green foliage.
Since foliage health can require a little attention, Fisherman's Friend is often described as a connoisseur's variety. However, with appropriate care and in a suitable location, it remains a rewarding choice. Companion plants that somewhat conceal the foliage, which may drop rather early, and a somewhat harder pruning after the first flush are advisable.
