Wonderful blooms, romantically shaped like English roses, dreamy fragrance, gorgeous blood-red colour
Long sprawling canes, but can be pruned into shape, naturally wants to climb. Velvety deep blood-red petals that get lighter before they fall, I found them beautiful. Dreamy, genuine rose fragrance of old rose varieties, not the sour one of modern roses. Blooms are borne in pretty umbels of 2 or more like a small bouquet. In full sun she thrived splendidly, unfortunately we moved to a cool balcony with partial shade, where she sadly died.
