This shrub rose, descended from Graham Thomas, has an arching growth habit that, while somewhat weaker, is reminiscent of it. The unusual copper-yellow colour, however, comes from the other parent variety, the climbing tea rose Mme. Bérard.
The variety was named after the breeder's mother, who is also the granddaughter of Pierre Guillot. The vigorous shrub tolerates heat and produces a good repeat flush.
