The rose variety Jacqueline du Pré is a charming, compact-growing, insect-friendly bedding rose. It brings much joy even in slightly shaded sites.
The plant bears clusters of beautiful, single flowers in pure white throughout the summer. These are sometimes also semi-double and/or flushed with pink. The highlight, however, is surely the striking, red stamens. The intense musky fragrance with a hint of citrus rounds off the overall picture.
The variety is healthy and frost-hardy. Jacqueline du Pré was awarded the AGM in 1994, and is named after the British cellist of the same name. Even though it apparently sometimes struggles to establish itself in certain locations, it is generally considered uncomplicated and very rewarding.
