Bernadette Lafont is an exceptionally healthy fragrant rose with very large blooms borne singly on stems. These are cup-shaped and densely double. The rose bush grows upright and compact to a height of about 100 cm, while taking up only about 50 cm in width. Behind the fuchsia-pink blooms, the dark green, glossy, healthy foliage provides a beautiful contrast. With its very strong fragrance and blooms appearing singly on stems, Bernadette Lafont is excellent as a cut rose.

It is a rose for beginners and for the balcony in a container. It is relatively fungus-resistant and needs little pruning (I also have a little tree one). It is undemanding and also tolerates full sun (but then it doesn't bloom as heavily). It blooms about 2-3 times
a year. And I love its fragrance. At first the flowers are flat and then they become so full, almost like a damask rose. It forms no rose hips, and I was able to overwinter it well wrapped up on the balcony on the 5th floor.
Bernadette Lafont not growing, losing its leaves or getting yellow leaves? Here you can find out whether it is powdery mildew, black spot or rose rust, and what you can do about these diseases.
- namely if you Bernadette Lafont ® bought, planted and observed and cared for in the garden over several years some time ago.
