Buy roses online

In the rose shop you will find information on a little more than 1,800 different garden roses. Most varieties can be bought or ordered online as container-grown or bare-root plants from the rose nursery in Memmingen.

Discover roses of many different types, from many rose breeders, from old to modern, across the entire history of roses. For some older roses that are no longer available we keep an archive entry in the online shop.

Our focus is on Old Roses, climbing roses and ramblers and the English Roses by David Austin.
Among the many different roses you will also find modern shrub roses, hybrid tea roses as well as bedding roses, ground-cover roses and wild roses for natural gardens.

If you are in a hurry and want to buy a rose right away:

Go straight to the immediately available container-grown roses / bare-root roses. For beginners we have put together a special selection of robust, easy-care and frost-hardy rose varieties.

In addition to our core range, we also offer further roses from our partner Peter Beales (UK) on pre-order. Among these you will find rare rose varieties that are not necessarily easy to buy in Germany.

You can restrict which ranges are shown above the variety lists. When shopping online, please also note the dates for rose shipping, which you can find here.

Tip: If you are looking for a rose with a particular name, simply enter part of it in the search field; suggestions will appear while you are still typing.

We wish you much enjoyment browsing the variety lists, and we welcome your feedback, your experiences with the roses, and also requests for varieties that in your opinion we should definitely stock.

Rose shipping - dates and information

Container-grown roses
Potted rose shrubs can be ordered all year round. We ship them at the stated delivery time, often on the same day.

Bare-root plants (Peter Beales)
These roses can be ordered all year round; autumn or spring can be chosen as the delivery date.

Because of the different growing season in the UK, autumn means roughly mid-December, and the spring season for lifted roses already ends in March.

Bare-root plants (core range)
These can be ordered all year round. Orders received from about June to mid-October are dispatched at the start of the season, usually from mid-October. We proceed in the order in which orders were received.

We lift our roses late so that they are well ripened. Roses ordered from the web shop over the summer are usually delivered by mid-November.

The same conditions apply to rose shipping as to plant shipping.

Rose accessories and companion plants

Besides rose plants we also ship peat-free organic rose compost, horn shavings (horn fertiliser), organic rose fertiliser, soil activator and rose mulch. We also offer high-quality metal climbing supports such as rose obelisks, rose arches, metal wall trellises and more.

With over 400 different clematis we offer a wide choice of suitable companions for roses, including many herbaceous clematis.

Archive / roses no longer cultivated

We think it is important that these rose varieties are not forgotten, that found roses can still be identified, and that as the owner of a rose that is no longer sold you can still find information about it or report your experiences with it.

Although it is common practice among many online shops not to show 'delisted' items any more, we have deliberately decided not to follow it.

If a variety list is therefore too long for you and you only want to see roses that you can also order, you can filter by 'orderable' or 'available immediately'.

Tips for rose care

After buying a rose, it has to be planted. Roses that have been growing in the garden for several years need to be pruned, fertilised, kept free of the usual rose diseases and pests, and brought safely through the winter.

You will find many tips and instructions on rose care in the Rose Knowledge section.
